Action Games

Before computer games were invented, lots of people played board games. Here are a few that your parents, or grandparents might have played with.

Blow Football

Blow Football

Blow Football was played by up to six players in two teams. Each team had a set of blow pipes, a goal keeper and a goal. The aim was to win by scoring the most goals.

Blow Football was usually played on a table so everything had to be packed up for meals.

Donkey party

Donkey Party

Donkey Party could be played by lots of people and is still popular at children's parties The winner was the person who pinned the tail on the donkey in the right place. This was not easy as the players would have their eyes covered over with a blindfold.

Carpet golf

Carpet Golf

Carpet Golf was played by two people or two teams. The golfers had a spring inside so that they could hit the golf balls into the holes.

Basketball

3-D Basketball

This was a very hard game to play. The aim was to score by flicking the basketball player's arm. The net was very small which made it very hard to score.

Golwlinks

Golfwinks

Golfwinks was a golf gamed played by flicking small plastic disks across a table. There were also fences to jump over. Players flicked their counters in turn until one player won or mum wanted the table for tea.

Super Simor

Super Simon

Simon was once of the first computer games. The lights would flash and you had to hit them in the correct order. Simon was for one player, Super Simon was for two.
